Executive CV Samples for CEO, CFO and Director Roles Abroad

Senior clients do not want their CV on a public website. Fair enough. So these three executive CV samples are composites: fictional people at fictional companies, written with the same evidence interview and structure we use for real CEOs, CFOs and directors.

Every number below is invented. The way each number is presented is exactly how we would present yours.

Illustrative samples. Composite profiles. Not real people or companies.

Sample CEO CV page one by ProDesignCV, written for a managing director role in the UAE

Sample 1: CEO CV for a managing director role in the UAE

A group CEO of a Sri Lankan manufacturing and distribution business with 640 people, applying for managing director roles in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Written as part of the International C-Suite Package.

What to notice

  • Revenue appears in rupees and US dollars side by side, so a Gulf search firm can benchmark it in seconds.
  • One line explains the group structure before the role, so the CEO title carries its real weight.
  • Nationality, visa status and notice period sit near the top. Gulf employers expect them; UK employers do not.
  • Every achievement names the decision, the action and the number that followed.

Sample CFO CV page one by ProDesignCV, written for a UK finance director role

Sample 2: CFO CV for a finance director role in the UK

A group CFO at a listed Sri Lankan logistics company, applying for finance director and CFO roles in the UK.

Written as part of the International C-Suite Package.

What to notice

  • No photo, date of birth or marital status. UK readers expect none of them.
  • Governance comes early: audit committee reporting, listed company disclosure and lender negotiations.
  • SLFRS is explained once as Sri Lanka’s adoption of IFRS, so a UK reader does not wonder whether the standards transfer.
  • Professional bodies are written out in full on first use.
  • The profile names the exact role type targeted, instead of “seeking a challenging position.”
  • Two pages. Earlier roles get two or three lines each, so page one stays on the current role.

Sample technology director CV page one by ProDesignCV, written for a regional role in Singapore

Sample 3: Technology director CV for a regional role in Singapore

A director of technology at a Colombo software company with 220 engineers serving clients in Australia and the UK, applying for regional technology leadership roles in Singapore.

Written as an Executive CV.

What to notice

  • Delivery for overseas clients is separated from operating overseas, because recruiters check the difference.
  • Team scale is split into direct reports, managers and total engineers.
  • Commercial outcomes sit beside the technical ones: client retention and contract value, not only uptime.
  • Platform and tool names appear where an ATS will look for them, without a keyword wall.

Before and after: the same experience, rewritten

The fastest way to see the difference is one line at a time. These are typical lines from executive CVs we receive, next to how we rewrite them.

What every ProDesignCV executive CV has in common

Each executive CV we write passes the same five checks before it reaches you: scale is stated in numbers, every achievement shows a decision and a result, titles carry their real remit, the format suits the target market, and the file opens cleanly in common ATS platforms such as Workday and Taleo. You approve every figure before it goes in.

Executive CV samples: frequently asked questions

Are these real client CVs?

No. They are composites with fictional names, companies and figures. Our senior clients do not allow their CVs to be published, so we built these to show our structure and method honestly.

Will my CV look exactly like these?

The structure will be similar. The layout, length and emphasis change with your target market and seniority. A UAE CV and a UK CV for the same person look noticeably different.

How long should an executive CV be?

Two pages for most directors and senior managers. Three pages can work for a CEO with board roles or several business units, as long as page one carries the strongest evidence.

Which service produced these samples?

Samples 1 and 2 show the master CV from the International C-Suite Package (LKR 320,000). Sample 3 shows the Executive CV (LKR 84,000).
