A senior application in Dubai or Abu Dhabi usually passes through several readers before an interview. Each one is looking for something different.
Looking for: a profile they can send to their client without rewriting it. Title, sector and scale need to be clear on page one.
Looking for: the job title and skills named in the advert, in a layout without text boxes, tables or graphics that it cannot read.
Looking for: results in their own market: revenue, cost, growth and teams across the UAE, the GCC or the wider region.
Looking for: nationality, visa status, notice period and how soon you could join.
UAE employers expect some details that CVs from other countries leave out, and skip others. These are the points we adjust most often.
